Trow & Holden Company has been manufacturing fine stone working tools including chisels, hammers, splitting tools and pneumatic hammers since 1890. Most chisels come in a wide variety of blade widths and are available in carbide or steel tips. We manufacture over 35 different types of stone hammers, many available in both carbide and steel. We invented the first pneumatic carving hammer in 1890. Since then, sculptors all over the world have used our hammers to work on the National Cathedral and the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC, the Cathedral of St. John the Divine in New York City and many other outstanding projects, large and small.
