Amos Madanes, MD, has been changing the lives of couples struggling with infertility since 1979. As the director of the Midwest Fertility Center in Chicago and Downers Grove, Illinois, he uses revolutionary assisted reproduction techniques that he developed to help patients achieve their dream of parenthood, particularly in cases involving male-factor infertility.
Dr. Madanes earned his medical degree from Tel Aviv University and completed specialty training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Tufts University and subspecialty training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Harvard School of Medicine. Before joining Midwest Fertility Center, he served as Chief of Gynecology at Mt. Sinai Hospital and Director of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at Loyola University.
As an innovator in the field of reproductive endocrinology, Dr. Madanes achieved the first successful pregnancy from nonsurgical intratubal insemination. He remains a leader in his field and has authored several publications about infertility and reproductive endocrinology. He is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, SART - Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology, the American Medical Association, and RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association.
Dr. Madanes believes in taking a comprehensive approach to treating infertility. He advises patients on their clinical options while attending to their overall health and emotional well-being throughout the infertility treatment process.
