Froula Barbara Studio Gallery
Barbara Froula’s paintings have a special appeal to those who love historic architecture, cities and landscape. Combining travel with painting to create cityscapes of Seattle, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Prague, Aspen, Vail, Boulder, and her home city of Denver, she has published books, posters, art prints, and over a million cards.
Visiting Kenya, Egypt, Tahiti, the Caribbean, Tuscany, the Galapagos Islands, and the National Parks of Arches, Zion, Bryce, Grand Canyon and Canyonlands has inspired her landscapes in watercolor, oil, and egg tempera. Her garden paintings are inspired by the challenge of capturing luminosity and color.
Barbara attended the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and Auburn University, receiving a degree in Architecture and the AIA medal. She received an Award of Honor from Historic Denver and was commissioned to paint the mural for Colorado History Museum’s exhibit, Denverat150. Other recent commissions include paintings for the Brown Palace Hotel, Denver Rotary Club and the BolderBOULDER 10K commemorative poster.
Jondie paints visionary art that explores time, space and the inner landscape of the mind.
The Gallery is located in an historic storefront in Denver’s Washington Park neighborhood.
