In 1955 our grandparents, Richard E. and Ruth E. Kimball, opened R. E. Kimball Company. They saw themselves making jams and jellies of a higher quality than what was available in grocery stores, and marketing them exclusively at roadside stands, apple orchards, and specialty stores throughout New England.
Today at Kimball and Company Inc., we still make jams and all of our products the same way Richard Kimball did almost 60 years ago. Everything is still made completely by hand using no machinery. Over the years we have expanded our product line with ideas from you, our loyal customers. We now make over 130 flavors. Although Richard and Ruth have both passed away, the company lives on into its third generation and is currently being run by sisters Kim Owen and Kate Gilbert, learning everything they know from their mother Joy Kimball. We are very proud of all the rich family history here at R. E. Kimball and Company Inc. and remain committed to stay true to those original values and traditions which set our jams , jellies and all of our products apart from anything else you have had in the market today. We are sure that both Richard and Ruth would be as proud and as satisfied today as the day they started the business back in 1955.
