Central was founded in Lake City Florida in March of 1998. The founding Lead Pastors are Lonnie and Tammie Johns. The church began from very humble beginnings, meeting on Sunday afternoons in other church buildings and then at Richardson Middle School for a period of time. On New Years eve 1999/2000 Christ Central had their first service in the new 20,000 square ft. ministry facility located on 12 beautiful acres. Since that time God has blessed the ministry with a total of 50 acres and 60,000 square ft. of ministry space. The church has grown to 960 members and a weekend attendance of over 1000.
