In 1927, Butterfield Garage was both a showplace for autos and a parking garage for visitors. In 1999, the building was renovated and is now a contemporary art gallery. Butterfield is now one of the largest and most popular galleries in town. Butterfield Gallery exhibits paintings—both realistic and abstract—in oil, acrylic, and watercolor, as well as collage, mixed media, photography, fiber arts, original handbags, jewelry, designer jackets, silk scarves, wood sculptures, artistic ironworks, blown glass, handmade furniture, and basketry.
