Woodmont Daycamp

PHILOSOPHY:

The relationships that children form with each other and with our staff provide the foundation for the Woodmont experience. It is through these relationships that they can learn about themselves and others.

Sending a child to camp is a tremendous act of faith by parents. At Woodmont, we take that responsibility very seriously and maintain an environment that encourages both safety and health and reinforces a positive self-image. We aim to provide campers with opportunities for emotional and physical growth, encourage their natural abilities and instill in them the benefits of participating in a group. Our ultimate goal is to provide an enjoyable, exciting summer experience that motivates our campers to approach the future with courage, confidence and a feeling of self-worth.

We create a warm, family feeling at Woodmont in a number of ways. We encourage continuous skill development throughout the summer; stress personal development no matter what the inherent ability of a camper may be; and lastly, work to create an atmosphere of attention and care for the individual. Woodmont Day Camp is a camp where each child will feel the warmth and comfort of home. Your child will experience a dynamic program in an environment fostering growth and independence. THE WOODMONT COMMUNITY is made up of 7 villages:

Kinder Village – 3 to 5 Year Olds

Lower Village – Entering 1st and 2nd Graders

Middle Village – Entering 3rd and 4th Graders

Upper Village – Entering 5th and 6th Graders

Super Seniors – Entering 7th Graders

Teen Travel – Entering 8th, 9th & 10th Graders

CIT – Entering 10th grade

PROGRAM
The guiding principle of our program is to give each child the opportunity to enjoy a full range of activities designed for fun, participation and skill development.
Our core program areas:
* Swim
* Athletics
* Creative Arts
* Performing Arts
Each area has a set of goals that are consistent with our mission. Choice and Club are an elective program that allows first through sixth graders to choose one to two special activities each day. Our program reflects the changing needs of children and offers new challenges as they progress through the divisions.

FACILITY RENTAL
Woodmont’s 50 acre campgrounds are available for private rentals. We are experienced in hosting private parties, reunions, retreat workshops, company picnics, bar-mitzvahs, weddings, school groups, teams, bands, clubs, organizations and so on. We are capable of providing high level entertainment, catering and activities.
