Trinity-St. John Lutheran School’s teachers seek to worship and serve the Lord through their teaching and work within the school and congregations in a manner that shows the students the power of the Gospel (Romans 1:16) at work in the teachers so that the students, too, may be witnesses (Acts 1:8). The teacher’s work with the children shows the students how the Holy Spirit enables us all to be clothed with compassion, gentleness, and patience, forgiving one another (Colossians 3:12-17) as God forgives us through Christ’s death on the cross. As the teachers and students interact with each other, we love one another. Guided by the teachers’ example which is centered in Christ’s love, the children, too, can be imitators of Christ (Ephesians 5: 1-21), living as part of the body of Christ (Ephesians 4: 11-16). Nurturing and teaching T-SJ’s students is aimed at accomplishing five objectives: Education; Worship; Evangelism; Christian Fellowship; and Service.
