Since the Food Bank opened in 1982, the number of people it serves has increased steadily. Many recipients have recently lost jobs or suffered a devastating illness - people who "never dreamed they'd be at a food bank." Supports the BackPack program which provides food to school children over the weekends when other school based programs are not available.
