"The Sacramento Parks Foundation, a coalition of four local park districts, Arcade Creek, Arden Manor, Fulton-El Camino and Mission Oaks, is exploring the possibility of developing a Universally Accessible Playground in the Arden Arcade area. This proposed park will be the first in the greater Arden Arcade community. The Sacramento Parks Foundation feels that the Arden Arcade community will benefit greatly from a Universally Accessible Playground where children can play together regardless of their abilities. We have scheduled two community meetings to discuss this concept and receive comments: Meeting #1 July 25, 2017 at 7:00 PM, Swanston Park, 2350 Northrop Ave., Sacramento CA 95825 The focus of this meeting will be on background on Universally Accessible Playgrounds, current possible locations and suggestions for other locations, community ideas and concerns. Meeting #2 August 8, 2017 at 7:00 PM, Howe Park, 2201 Cottage Way, Sacramento, CA 95825 The focus of this meeting will be on design components. Suggestions for themes and playground components will be discussed. We need your input. The success of this project depends on community involvement. Your thoughts and suggestions will help guide the planning and development of this project and help make it a true benefit to all our youth and enhance the whole community. Please feel free to share this information with other organizations and friends that may share an interest in helping bring a Universally Accessible Playground to Arden Arcade. We look forward to seeing you at these meetings. If you are not able to make it to these meetings and would like to share your thoughts, or if you have questions or need more information, please contact Michael Grace, General Manager at mgrace@fecrecpark.com.”
