Better late than never. This overdue book from 1977 was recently returned to the same location. The picture shows what Northtown Library looked like in 1977. Some other things from 1977: The Commodore PET. It was the world’s first PC that was sold to retail consumers. the first all-in-one personal computer (PET stood for “Personal Electronic Transactor”) was equipped with a monitor, keyboard, and a cassette tape drive for a price of $495. It had 4 kb of memory. Apple II computers also went on sale that year.
