The Company received its Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) certification through the Port Authority of Allegheny County’s Unified Certification Program, WBE Certification through the PA. Department of General Services, and national WBE certification through the National Women Business Owner’s Corporation (NWBOC) and the Women’s Business Enterprise Council (WBENC). Huckestein also falls under the new SBA guidelines as an 8(m) Woman Owned Small Business, and is certified through NWBOC and the SBA for this designation. As a WBE/DBE/WOSB certified business, Huckestein can satisfy project requirements for DBE content through local, state, and federal governments as well as help meet private corporate Billion Dollar Roundtable diversity goals.
In addition, the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission named Huckestein Mechanical Services, Inc. as a PA Act 129 Conservation Service Provider (CSP), approving the company to assist both utilities and end users in achieving Act 129 energy consumption reduction goals.
