Animals that are put up for adoption run as follows:

Every animal adopted from this facility must be spayed/neutered and vaccinated properly before leaving the shelter. Out of those prices, it all goes back into the shelter for the care, living, medical supplies, vet bills, etc. of all the animals.
The Gilmer County Animal Shelter provides Euthanasia services Tuesday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, but you must call beforehand to make sure someone is available to perform the euthanasia.

Gilmer County Animal Control runs out of The Gilmer County Animal Shelter. We have Animal Control personnel that handle calls and complaints on domesticated animals, whether it be picking up a stray cat or dog, or setting out traps for cats or dogs, or answering complaints that violate the Gilmer County Animal Control Ordinances.
