I am often asked the question "why do I need an insurance agent?" With technology today, people can purchase insurance from practically anywhere. You can buy it on-line using your cell phone without even talking to anybody. What is the benefit of having ME as your agent? As consumers you spend your entire life working to buy the things you have - your cars, your house, your life style! You work hard to make money so you can afford to take your family on summer vacations, send your kids off to college, and to have a meaningful retirement. I think many Insurance companies have forced consumers into thinking that insurance is a commodity – it should be cheap, the process should be quick. In today's advertising world the majority of the messages we as consumers see is focused around price, forcing us to believe that the #1 priority when shopping for insurance should be the cheapest price and a very short time commitment to get that cheap price.

The problem we run into is that many consumers do not understand how insurance works. Most think its nothing more than a “thing” we have to have if we own a car, own a house or operate a business.
