Our worship is a celebration of the victory of our Lord Jesus Christ. The saving action of God through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is proclaimed to us through the Word of God. In and through that Word we celebrate our Lord opening the gates of heaven for us through His life, death, and resurrection. Our Church does not gather in worship to commemorate the "late departed" Jesus, but to witness to the resurrection of our Lord by proclamation, preaching, prayer, thanksgiving, and the sacraments celebrated and administered. Jesus Christ is in our midst according to His Promise.
