Wild Earth Guardians

WildEarth Guardians was founded in 1989 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, as Forest Guardians. In 2008, we merged with a carnivore protection organization, Sinapu, in Boulder, Colorado, and changed our name to WildEarth Guardians. Our headquarters remains in Santa Fe and we also maintain offices in Denver, Portland, OR and Missoula, MT. We have four programs focusing on wildlife, wild places, wild rivers, and climate and energy. Our funding comes primarily from private foundations, individual memberships, and government grants. WildEarth Guardians continues to receive Charity Navigator's top rating as a 4-Star Charity. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and all contributions are tax-deductible under federal law.
