Country Baptist held its first service in 1974 at the city hall in Mentor-on-the-Lake. As the Lord blessed, the church purchased the property and the old farm house at this current address. It was converted into a church and the congregation has been meeting here since. The dedication of the new building took place on November 30, 2002. Jim Angle retired November 2012 and we currently searching for new Pastor. In the meantime Ed Simmons Jr and Jim Henderson are acting as interim Pastors.
