We recently completed two Indiana Limestone fireplaces for the University Club of Chicago. Working with the general contractor, Bulley & Andrews,, we carved two traditionally-styled fireplaces, in keeping with the 100+ year-old club's original interiors. Following up on our last post, we worked with this Chicago-area client to custom-design this new carved stone entryway, to replace the wood one, shown in the previous post. The Indiana limestone used here should be much more durable than the original wood.

We were recently asked by a Chicago-area homeowner to suggest a nice carved stone entryway design that could replace their existing wood surround. Shown here is the wood surround they started with. We'll show you what we came up with for them in our next post!
