Very proud of the tremendous spirit shown by Agrium Retail's Crop Production Services and Loveland Products staff in Loveland, Colorado. Through various activities in their recent Make-a-Wish Week, employees raised more than $15,000 for the Colorado chapter of Make-a-Wish Foundation. Add in the donation of Air Miles and Loveland Products’ adoption of Make-a-Wish recipient Katie, the net donation was valued at more than $30,000. Katie, who has Cystic Fibrosis, wants to visit Paris and we’re excited to help her realize that dream.

Meet Sarah Schwann, Senior Counsel, EHS&S and Litigation, Calgary, Alberta Sarah is one of 19 employees to receive a CEO’s Award this year. These awards are given out annually in recognition of an employee who had made an extraordinary contribution to the company while embodying the core values that make up our Cultivating Excellence culture. Sarah was recognized for her extensive work around safety, which is Agrium’s top priority. Sarah’s efforts in 2016 included working with the Agrium EHS&S teams to develop and implement a new incident investigation process, to make sure learnings from any serious incidents are shared across the entire organization for everybody’s education and benefit. She also worked closely with the corporate EHS&S leaders on an organization-wide, third-party safety culture assessment. This helped identify areas to focus on in terms of safety. “You can't do safety alone. This isn't about me,” Sarah says. “I'm flattered that I received an award, but I do this with a group of people equally committed to ensuring Agrium is a safe place to work.” Congratulations, Sarah!
