Departments and Services

Fresh Meats

Our meat cutters offer over 40 years experience in cutting meat and customer service. Special orders are always welcome! We offer a wide selection of ready to cook marinated and gourmet cuts. We only use domestic beef, pork, lamb, veal and poultry in our fresh meat department.

We buy from locally owned fresh meat and poultry suppliers of meats. We carry Choice Black Angus Beef, Miller Amish all natural chickens, Rosebud Farms Poultry, and choice or prime veal and lamb. We also have a great selection of ready to cook frozen meat products to choose from. Our homemade sausages are very popular and are handmade fresh daily. We are continuously searching the market to provide our customers with the highest quality meats at the best value.

Holidays are our specialty! We take pre-orders for Hoka or Rosebud Farms fresh turkeys to guarantee you the size and quality that your Thanksgiving/Holiday table demands. Our counters overflow with fresh and delicious Easter Lamb and Hams. Crown Roast and Stuffed Lamb Roasts are just a couple of specialty items that are in-house Butchers can create for you.

Our professionally trained and Union (UFCW) Meat Cutters are available for advice and cooking ideas and they are always happy to take your preorders for an easy no wait pick-up for any special cuts or large orders.


Produce

Riverside Foods takes great pride in our Produce Department by providing our valued customers with only the best quality produce and highest level of customer service. In 2005 we developed a partnership with Indianapolis Fruit Company, a full service provider of fresh fruits, vegetables and floral selections. Indy Fruit is one of the leading providers of fresh produce in the Midwest, providing well over 4,000 fresh items daily including certified organic, certified kosher and locally/regionally grown produce and produce related items. As well as providing fresh products, Riverside Foods is your destination for natural juices, dressings, pre-made convenience salads and fresh cut fruit, jams as well as nuts and candies; the list goes

Deli and Hot Deli

Our enthusiastic deli staff is always available to freshly slice your meats and cheeses and to custom make your sandwiches to your specifications. Our Service Deli Department offers a wide selection of homemade and seasonal salads. Try our famous Pico de'Gallo and our very popular Chicken and Tuna Salads.

We carry a wide variety of high quality deli meats and cheeses specializing in Boar's Head and Daisy Brand/Crawford Sausage products. You will also find Sara Lee, Butterball, Eckrich, Land o'Lakes and Reser's Salad items. Come in to see what our daily in-store sales are. Sampling is always available upon request.

Hot Deli

Our Hot Deli Department is open seven days a week for our famous Wonder Roast Rotisserie Chicken. Our crispy and juicy Chesterfried Chicken is available Monday thru Saturday. At our hot deli counter you will also find a delicious selection of sides and baked entrees such as our Spanakopita (spinach cheese puffs,) tasty and meaty BBQ Spare Ribs, and delicious Jumbo Shrimp (Friday's special.)

Try our delicious fried chicken for your next party. Please order twenty-four hours in advance so we can ensure that your trays of chicken will be hot and fresh!


Bakery

We bake seven days a week and on holidays. We carry a great selection of breads and baked fresh! Our specialties include fruit turnovers, generously filled coffee cakes, flaky biscuits, moist layer

We can take special cake orders for all your celebrations. Please allow forty eight hours notice.


Wine and Spirits

How does such a small store have such a great wine selection? We carefully pick each type of wine we carry. We keep current on unusual grape varietals, and knowledge of wine regions that are producing good wines. We set ourselves apart by offering moderately priced "boutique" wines while still carrying, for your convenience, many popular wines.

There is so much to know about wine and we don't claim to be all-knowing but we do encourage our customers to be adventurous and try something other than Chardonnay, Merlot, or Cabernet Sauvignon. How about a Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand, a Malbec from Argentina, or a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo from Italy? Have you ever tried a Petit Syrah?
