Nick Koulouris opened Grecian Gyro in 1982 with $50 in his pocket. Nick’s first Grecian Gyro restaurant in Hapeville, Georgia became the city’s home for high-quality, quick-serve, fresh Greek food. Before he knew it, Nick’s restaurant was an Atlanta favorite. Over the past 29 years, Grecian Gyro has gained the reputation of “Atlanta’s Best Gyro,” winning the coveted honor from Atlanta Magazine and its readers. What keeps customers coming back? Regulars tell us it’s a toss-up between the “delicious food!” the “fun Greek family feel” and the “secret sauce that’s to die for!” In 2007 and 2008, Nick’s sons, George and Pano, expanded the company and opened locations in Tucker and Forest Park. In 2010, the brothers responded to years of customer requests for more locations throughout metro-Atlanta, and launched the Grecian Gyro Franchise Company.
