Studio A has a large live room that sounds excellent when tracking anything from drums, to grand piano, to electric guitars or even a choir. The studio is digital, currently running Pro Tools 10 on a Mac Pro with two Avid HDX I/O interfaces giving 24 inputs total. Monitoring comes from a Genelec system or a stereo JBL system. Studio B is a smaller room mainly used for cutting video and lighter audio tasks (such as voice overs). The studio has a vocal booth and an Avid HDX Omni interface for audio hardware. The Mac Pro is loaded with Pro Tools 10, Avid Media Composer 7, and Adobe Creative Cloud; which includes every piece of software Adobe makes.

Mirror Studios was founded in 1982 in Los Angeles, California. Originally, Mirror Studios was a music driven facility. Working with local and regional musical acts, they recorded, mixed and mastered both singles and albums in the LA music industry.

In 1993, a larger facility was built in Anchorage, Alaska. Their expertise in the industry allowed them the opportunity to work in varied genres. Mirror Studios has recorded a wide spectrum of musical talent from internationally acclaimed classical pianist Juliana Osinchuk to pop music acts like The Indigo Girls and Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fames The Righteous Brothers. As the industry itself was converting from analog to digital technology, Mirror Studios became a market leader in advancing new services through the use of digital and ISDN technology. In time it became apparent that there were far more creative opportunities than those strictly associated with music. Therefore, Mirror Studios started working with corporate clients and agencies on local, regional and national advertising campaigns and rapidly expanded into a full-service multi-media facility. This expansion into post-production also included safety films, training videos and long and short-form documentaries.

In 2002, Mirror Studios opened a satellite facility on Capitol Hill in Washington Today, clients may choose to use any of Mirror Studios’ locations. Current digital technologies break down geographical barriers, allowing them to produce from one location, using directors, editors and talent from multiple locations. Using the Anchorage facility as a hub, Mirror Studios has a nationwide network to draw upon.
