Anh K Ho October 21, 1985 - May 5, 2017 It's with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, sister, aunt, friend and student Anh K Ho. Anh passed away at 8:43 am on Friday, May 5, 2017 from injuries sustained in a Short SD-330 plane crash at Yeager Airport, West Virginia. She was born on October 21, 1985 in Vietnam and became an American citizen years later. From the first day she could, Anh walked, if not ran, to the beat of her own drum. She was such a vibrant soul, one who literally lit up the room whenever she entered. Anh also had a spunky and sassy "edge" to her, a quality that we all loved and aspired. She loved to explore the world, from the busy streets of Korea to the emerald Isles of Ireland, to the tulips of Amsterdam, and the wonders of South America. Anh left not just an imprint, but everlasting joy in the hearts of those she met , loved, and befriended. Anh had numerous hopes and dreams, but what set Anh apart from others was that those hopes and dreams did not remain simply so. The amazing truth is once Anh set her mind to something, these dreams become a reality. From the east coast to the west coast for college at the University of California, Irvine, from continent to continent, whatever new interest or hobby that came to Anh she happily pursued, like her love of flying. Anh was a researcher, teacher, wanderlust traveler and fearless pilot, but her most important role was a loyal, dedicated, and committed daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She will be dearly missed and survived by her mother Nga Thi Bui, six brothers , four sisters, and over seventeen nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved father Thanh Van Ho. Her extended family here at Boire Field and AirDirect Airways Flight Academy will miss her laughter and wit, her smile and skill, and especially, her dedication to her craft. There are people in this world who make it a better place, simply by being in it Anh was one of those people, and those who knew her in her years of growth as a person and a pilot, knew that. Those who knew her best, always will. Godspeed on your journey, Anh. You will always be remembered. Services were held in her mother's hometown of Mobile, Alabama and were heavily attended by family and friends. Contributions in memory of Anh maybe made to A dedication video made by one of her many friends can be watched on YouTube in loving memory of Anh K Ho

On June 4th the Aero Club Of New England ( ACON) presented pilot Harrison Ford with the prestigious Godfrey L Cabot Award. Invited and attending the ceremony were ADAFA student pilots Daniel Hyatt and Robert Bardani and Chief Pilot David Plantier. Also accompanying our representatives were Crissy Bardani and Wendy Hyatt our student's mothers as well as Primrose Chimunya ADAFA Dispatcher. The event was a whose who of the aviation industry and featured the Young Eagles Organization that Mr Ford headed for 5 years. Robert and Daniel were two of dozens of New England young people honored by Mr Ford and other aviation industry giants. We would like to thank Mr James Brough for his continued support in Stem education and inviting us to this influential event. Great job boys.

The Biannual EAA Young Eagles Rally at Boire field sponsored by our very own International Aerobatics Club Chapter35, and hosted by AirDirect Flight Academy, was once again a tremendous success. Thanks to the dozens of airplane, helicopter, and drone pilots, ATC Controllers, BBQ chefs, cadets, ramp agents, managers, mechanics, interns, dispatchers, students, photographers, officers, instructors, reporters, rocket launchers, airplane builders, simulator operators, child care administrators, and hundreds of enthusiastic adults and children, we were able to fly 137 Young Eagles and a dozen teenage volunteers in just over 3 1/2 hours. None of this would have been possible without the help of our longtime supporters. Those who were there thank our Nashua based EAA pilots, The Nashua Control Tower controllers, The Midfield Cafe, Nashua Jet Aviation, The Nashua Airport Association, The Civil Air Patrol Humphrey and Nashua Squadrons, CR Helicopters, and of course, our amazing incredible stupendous most awesome! Thank you all for making dreams come true
