Benicia Ballet School was founded in 1986 and focuses on classical ballet training for beginning to pre-professional dancers as well as very young students to adults. Through the development of many accomplished dancers, BBS has built a fine reputation throughout the North Bay. While the emphasis is on ballet, additional classes in free movement and character dance are offered following the eight levels of the Royal Academy of Dance Syllabus. Additional classes in Flamenco, pas de deux and other dance styes are offered in BBS Summer Dance Camp. RAD exams are offered annually as well as many performance opportunities throughout the year.
