MCLA designs landscapes to rejuvenate the soul by creating spaces for people to experience and engage with the outdoors. Whether it is a home owner relaxing on a garden terrace, a child running up a landform at a park just to roll back down, or providing access to waterfronts and trails that once were cut off due to industry or contamination, MCLA strives to design outdoor spaces that allow people to live, learn, teach, play, relax, exercise, heal and laugh.
We approach each design individually, recognizing the site’s potential and unique set of challenges and work in close collaboration with the client, the community and other professionals. Our goal is to work intuitively with the innate characteristics of each site to create a specific design that captures the essence of the landscape and blends it with the aspirations of the client.
