When you enter Woodland Hall Academy, a learning hum surrounds you. Student faces are excited, intense, thoughtful as they learn. Many of these are the same students to came to WHA frustrated, angry or unhappy at school because “I didn’t get it, and no one slowed down to help me understand.” One student’s observation of his former school.
With class sizes between 3-8 students, WHA teachers have time to individualize and to “slow down” and make sure everyone understands the material. Even more importantly, WHA knows that students with dyslexia, ADHD and related learning differences such as Asperger’s learn differently, so WHA Teaches the Way They Learn.
Since 1975, WHA has been helping students Learn the Way They Learn and the changes in their lives have been immense.
