It was organized in the Ingleside community of DeKalb County (which is now part of Avondale Estates) to minister to families that worked for the Scottdale Mill. Groundbreaking for our first building was in June 1900 and the bell that occupies the tower in our new building was donated in 1901. The congregation served the area until 1978 when we purchased property in Stone Mountain.
