First Baptist Church of Gibsonton is a missionary minded church. Jesus said to go into all the world and preach the gospel. We are now helping to support one hundred thirty (130) missionaries and six (6) children homes around the world. We can safely say: The sun never sets on the ministry of this church. Ministries was conceived in the heart of Dr. Scotty Drake in June 1994. It started with the counsel and encouragement of Dr. Lee Roberson and four national missionaries from Old Mexico. Today we are assisting thousands of churches planting missionaries in over sixty (60) third-world countries and growing. From that humble beginning, Ministries is now known around the world.
