Christian Healing Ministries

Christian Healing Ministries (CHM) was founded in 1980 by Francis and Judith MacNutt.

The Vision of CHM is To Make Christian Healing Prayer a Way of Life in Families, Churches and Medical Professions.

The Mission of CHM is To be a visible presence of Jesus' desire to heal in the world today by:
• Providing healing prayer for the sick
• Training those who what to learn to pray
• Lending leadership support to pastors, churches and seminaries
• Offering a bookstore and resource center for ministry and training materials
• Expanding the role of healing prayer in medical professions

Francis and Judith MacNutt are internationally recognized leaders in the healing ministry of Jesus Christ. Together, they bring unparalleled experience in teaching and ministering the healing power of Jesus. Their presentations are balanced, dynamic and in-depth.

Francis MacNutt has been instrumental in restoring the healing ministry to the Church. He is widely known and respected for his wisdom, experience and practical, yet compassionate, approach to healing. He is a graduate of Harvard and Catholic University of America and has a in theology. In 1974, Francis wrote the ground-breaking book Healing, which is now a classic in the field, having sold nearly a million copies. Francis founded the Merton House in St. Louis and co-founded the Association of Christian Therapists in 1976. In 1980 Judith and Francis were married and co-founded Christian Healing Ministries. Francis has also written The Power to Heal, The Prayer that Heals, Overcome by the Spirit, Deliverance from Evil Spirits, Can Homosexuality Be Healed?, and The Healing Reawakening. Together Francis and Judith co-authored the book Praying for Your Unborn Child.

Judith MacNutt is a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University, holds a Master’s degree in psychology and is a licensed psychotherapist in Florida. From her clinical experience in counseling, Judith discovered the need for praying for her clients. She spent three years as a missionary in Jerusalem, where she directed a House of Prayer, working with both Jews and Arabs. In 1977, Judith founded Christian Counseling Services, where she effectively integrated her work as a psychotherapist with healing prayer for her clients. In 1980 Judith and Francis were married and co-founded Christian Healing Ministries. Judith is the author of the best-selling book Angels Are For Real, and together Francis and Judith co-authored the book Praying For Your Unborn Child.
