January 6th is Epiphany, which means "to show" or "to make known" or even "to reveal". On this day we as the body of Christ are reminded of our mission to seek to as best we can to be used by God to "reveal" Jesus to the world as Lord and King. With this we end the 12 days of Christmas and celebration of the Christmas/Advent season. Next year we will start again. Hope this was a blessing to you. God bless!

Edna was nine when she met missionaries Andy and Judy Bennett in Papua New Guinea. Andy says, “We’ve watched her grow from this cute little girl to a beautiful woman of God. We’ve watched her handle adversity with grace. We’ve rejoiced as milestones passed and grieved with her when things didn’t go as hoped. We’ve watched her go through training as a student nurse. On January 3, 2017, I performed a C-section and Edna was my scrub nurse. She did very well. I couldn’t have been prouder.” We share Edna’s story as a reminder of the tremendous impact missionaries have on the people in the villages, big cities, and small towns where God sends them. Like Edna, there are thousands who have come to know Christ and develop tangible life skills because a missionary was there. Pray for our missionaries and the people they serve.

Tomorrow is Epiphany, which means "to show" or "to make known" or even "to reveal." We remember the coming of the wise men bringing gifts to visit the Christ child, who by so doing "reveal" Jesus to the world as Lord and King. Tonight is the twelfth night. This is an occasion for feasting, including the baking of a special King's Cake as part of the festivities of Epiphany.
