ADA Women's Center has provided licensed residential substance abuse treatment for women in coastal Texas since 1986. Thirty-one years is a long time to witness the devastation of addiction and to know that the problem persists despite our efforts. We have learned much over the years. We know prevention is the best medicine. We know that, as a brain disease, research takes varied approaches to arrest the impact of substances on the cognitive functioning of those struggling with addiction. We know that the War on Drugs changed how society looks at drugs and addiction, and not for the better. We know that the real war appears to be between the medical approach to addiction and the criminal justice system. Women come to us from jail, from the streets, from home, from hospital. The common denominator for them and for us is hope. With your help, we are able to offer tools and strategies that help change the trajectory of lives mired in addiction, tainted by the stigma of legal problems and broken by the physical and emotional consequences of long-term drug and alcohol use. Please join us to celebrate Angels Among Us on October 27, 2017. We will honor Janis Bane, and the many other angels in our lives whose quiet presence enriches every day. This event supports our work with women whose addictions and history of trauma mean loss of home, family and hope. Attached you will find the sponsorship opportunities. We would be honored to partner with you as we provide the women of ADA a new beginning in sobriety.

@BWilliams you don't have to chase the dysfunction in the west wing. You mentioned it, move on to other more important news.

@SenatorCollins @SenatorCollins Please phone your friends. You should not stand alone in opposition the McConnell healthcare bill. Say no.
