The Home was started because there are few places for women without money or insurance where they can get sober and to begin a journey in recovery. Since its doors opened in 1998, the Ashland Home has served over 2000 women in their journey towards recovery. The Home is strictly operated by unpaid volunteers and is privately funded through the generous donations of benefactors. Ashland Home is a non-profit organization operating under the direction and supervision of a Board of Directors.
