Sonny's Real Pit Bar-B-Q

In 1968, we were just a local BBQ joint in Gainesville, Florida. Today, we’re still a local BBQ joint. We just happen to be in a few more locations.

But we still do things the same way Floyd "Sonny" Tillman and his wife, Lucille, did back then. We still slow-smoke over oak for up to 12 hours at a time. We still serve generous portions. And we still believe people should be able to go out to eat and feel right at home.

FOSTER KINDNESS

Everyone is welcome to join our BBQ. We have a zero-tolerance policy against hate, discrimination, or harassment in any form. We go by the golden rule around here, which is to treat others like you’d want to be treated. We encourage kindness and treat everyone with the dignity and respect they deserve. Also, please avoid posting spam or comments that attack other users, contain expletives, include inflammatory religious content, or reference third-party pages or websites. That content may be removed by us, and if you keep postin’ it, you may be blocked in the future.

Every conversation with you is a chance for us to learn, encourage and grow. Also, we don’t share your photos or video without askin’ you first.
