The Alaska Forum, Inc was initially formed as an organization to support Alaska's premiere environmental conference, the Alaska Forum on the Environment. This widely recognized event is a statewide gathering of environmental professionals from government agencies, non-profit and for-profit businesses, community leaders, Alaskan youth, conservationists, biologists and community elders. The depth of our event agenda and diversity of attendees sets this conference apart from any other. The event occurs annually in February in an effort to provide a strong educational foundation for all Alaskan's and a unique opportunity to interact with others on environmental issues and challenges.

The Alaska Forum is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to support the Alaska Forum on the Environment and our extended mission to promote effective cooperation, communication and education in Alaska. We now manage several grant projects to assist with Alaska Solid Waste issues and are now in the process of implementing a new program that will provide job opportunities for Environmental Technicians. Alaska Forum now supports the Green Star Program for Alaska.

We work with agencies, businesses and non-profit organizations in a spirit of cooperation to ensure that environmental issues and concerns can be addressed with an understanding of the diversity of perspectives and a fundamental educational background of the available science, knowledge and Alaskan experiences.
