Founded in 1984, in the same location as it is today, Aikido of San Leandro has always had the same instructor and style of training. In our creative, challenging atmosphere, beginners are consistently taught with care and respect, with emphasis in clear, precise movements, which become graceful and effective techniques. The instructor, Pat Hendricks Sensei, holds a 7th degree black belt, and has trained exclusively in Iwama, Japan. Pat Sensei holds the highest degree possible in "Aiki Ken and Jo Certification," and is certified to hold examinations for the United States. Aikido of San Leandro attracts students from all over the world, including Japan, as well as from all over the Bay Area.
