Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Miami Valley

About MVUUF:
MVUUF is over 50 years old having been founded by several members of the Dayton community in 1958. They purchased land on Far Hills in Oakwood and moved into a former Lutheran church. That building served the Fellowship for years despite the lack of parking.

In 2003, the Fellowship built a new building at 8690 Yankee St., in Washington Township. The new building gave the congregation much more space for worship, for fellowship, and for the religious education. The graceful design of the building lets in lots of light and beckons people to gather together.

MVUUF is a non-creedal congregation that welcomes people of all faiths and of no particular faith. We welcome people of all race, gender, age, sexual orientation, and gender identity. We worship together at 11:00 every Sunday morning but have many more activities going on during the week. At 9:30 every Sunday morning, there are several small groups that meet to discuss topics and practice their own type of spirituality.

Religious education is an important component of our Fellowship both for adults and children. We have a religious education program for children during the Sunday morning worship time. We also offer youth groups for junior high and senior high youth that meet at different times.

Community is very important to us. We often gather for seminars and discussions, or just for fun at potlucks or social gatherings.

Visitors are welcome to come attend our Sunday morning service. Dress is casual. A greeter at the door will help you get acquainted with who we are and what to expect.
