Newman/Haas Racing was founded in the fall of 1982 by actor/race car driver/philanthropist Paul Newman and racing entrepreneur Carl Haas.
The team began competing in the CART series in 1983 and currently competes in the IZOD IndyCar Series. To date the team has earned eight titles, 107 wins and 109 poles with drivers such as Mario & Michael Andretti, Nigel Mansell, Paul Tracy, Christian Fittipaldi, Cristiano da Matta, Sebastien Bourdais, Bruno Junqueira, Justin Wilson, Graham Rahal and Hideki Mutoh. Oriol Servia and James Hinchcliffe currently drive for the team.
