Chestnut Oaks Recreation Association

We are a family-centered pool and tennis recreation association based in Henrico County's west end at Parham and Fordson Roads, just south of the I-64 and Parham Rd. interchange.

The pool is open from Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day weekend. We have full bathroom, shower, and changing facilities. We host a number of social events and parties at the pool. Our swim instructors and swim team coaches offer swimming lessons and stroke clinics tailored to age and skill level. Our pool is staffed by trained and very capable employees and lifeguards, most of whom are Chestnut Oaks members. Our staff is employed directly by Chestnut Oaks, as we typically hire from within our own membership. We do not contract out to pool management services. We believe that this approach allows us to offer the best experience possible for our members.

Our swim team, the Chestnut Oaks Stingrays, is a member team of the Greater Richmond Aquatic League (GRAL), and competes in Division I for the 2013 season. They participate in six meets per year from mid-June thru the end of July. We host three meets at Chestnut Oaks, and three are hosted at away clubs.

Our tennis facilities include 4 lighted regulation tennis courts on the lower level, and two unlighted regulation tennis courts on the upper level. Use of the tennis courts is available year-round. Our tennis pro Juan Loza offers tennis clinics and lessons for all ages and skill levels.

A covered pavilion is available for events, parties, and gatherings. Adjacent to the pavilion is a childrens' play area. We also have a tennis practice area, and a basketball court adjacent to the tennis courts.
