The Adult Literacy League provides opportunities for individuals and families in Central Florida to develop their reading and writing skills.
We do this by:
* Providing free one-to-one and small group literacy instruction * Recruiting and matching adult learners with volunteers * Training literacy tutors * Providing continuing education to tutors and students through mentoring, training, seminars, and computer labs * Providing scholarships for learning materials and curriculum * Providing comprehensive family literacy services with a variety of community partners * Increasing public awareness of literacy through community events
