Fire suppression systems are mechanical devices. They require periodic care. Maintenance is a vital step in the performance of an ANSUL Fire Suppression System. As such, it must be performed in accordance to NFPA 96 (Standard for the Installation of Equipment for the Removal of Smoke and Grease-Laden vapors from Commercial Cooking Equipment) and NFPA 17A (Standard on Wet Chemical Extinguishing Systems) by an Authorized ANSUL Distributor; Fairmont Fire Systems. To provide maximum assurance that your ANSUL Fire Suppression System is/will operate effectively and safely, maintenance must be conducted at six-month intervals or earlier if a situation dictates. 12-year maintenance must include agent tank hydrotesting.
Technicians who install, operate, recharge or maintain ANSUL Fire Suppression Systems must complete R102 training and be certified by ANSUL.
