The first Shiawassee County Fair on record was held in 1850; it was the beginning of what has become a great tradition. The format has changed over the years; some years were missed due to the economy, some due to war, but it is truly an important part of the lives of many Shiawassee County residents.
The fairgrounds on Hibbard Road just outside of Corunna was first used in 1988 and has grown into a beautiful facility housing activities that begin in April and continue into October, including horse shows, craft fairs, auctions, and a variety of other entertaining events.
