Catherine Laucelle’s early recovery from her 4th knee surgery was not going as expected; there was one problem after the other. Lucky for Catherine her husband recommended she see an upbeat and knowledgeable therapist at Apex Physical Therapy- Blue Bell, Wendy Hafner. Now she recommends her friends to Apex! Read her full story here: “I underwent knee replacement on January 23, 2017. This was my fourth replacement and felt I would be able to handle it fine, since I had no problems with my other replacement. Problems started immediately. I was released 20 hours after my surgery with my pain never under control. I had no physical therapy until 11 days after my surgery. This was partially due to excruciating pain and no home therapy was offered. My husband had gone to APEX for vertigo and encouraged me to start my Physical Therapy there since he had such great result with Wendy Hafner, PT, DPT. I met Wendy on February 2nd and at that time I was not able to sit in a regular chair as the degree of bend in my knee was approximately 50 degree. Wendy was very encouraging and put my fears at ease. She worked with me three times a week and was the sunshine I needed. She provided expert therapy along with an upbeat personality and encouraging words. My Dr. gave me a shot of cortisone due to the swelling in my knee. He felt it would be the key to get my knee to bend, unfortunately it helped slightly, but not enough. My knee needed to be manipulation and the procedure was performed on April 3rd. Once I had the manipulation Wendy was able to get me moving quite quickly. She continued to work on building up my strength, providing new exercises and manual therapy to get me where I am today. Finally after all the bumps in the road I have reached 121 degree bend and I am on my way to a full recovery. I recommended two of my friends and my sister to APEX and Wendy. All are so thankful that they have Wendy to help them through their journey of physical therapy. Not only is she extremely knowledgeable but she is so patient and cheerful. APEX is a great facility and has a true gem with Wendy. I will continue to refer anyone that is need of PT to APEX and of course Wendy.” Catherine Laucella http://www.apex-pt.com/contact-us/ http://www.excelphysicaltherapy.com/contact-us/

Cervical radiculopathy is pain that starts in the neck and travels down the arm. Treating cervical radiculopathy starts with physical therapy - stretching, strengthening, postural exercises - getting the biomechanics right to help take the pressure off the spine so the nerve has a chance to heal itself. “Tennis elbow” can be painful; that doesn’t mean it has to stop you from doing the things you enjoy. Thanks to Excel Physical Therapy, Henry Barnowski didn’t let tennis elbow stop him from working on the fixer upper home he recently bought. Read his story: “I work as an auto mechanic and recently my job picked up at the same time my wife and I moved into a new house. The house is a fixer upper and my right arm was taking the brunt of all the increased day to day activities. As a result, I developed pain that was diagnosed as tennis elbow, and I was referred to Excel Physical Therapy in Cherry Hill. I started working with Gabriel Rocco, PT, DPT who taught me stretches and specific exercises that took the pain from a 7-8/10 to nothing. The workload at my house and work during this time never changed. Gabe’s suggestions/ insistence are hands down the reason for my success and well-being today. I would recommend Gabe and Excel to any friend or family that experiences any type of pain or discomfort.” Would you like to schedule an appointment with one of our attentive, caring, and professional Physical Therapists?
