Olivet African Methodist Episcopal Church was the pioneer church for African Americans in the city of South Bend. It was organized in 1870. Today, Olivet welcomes all who seek a relationship with Christ. The vision of Olivet AME church is "to minister to the spiritual, social, and physical needs of the people of the Michiana community."
