Asian Auto Services, Inc. shared East Kingston Police Department's post.
On Monday evening, 5/8/2017, at approximately 1845 hours, I observed a vehicle parked on the roadside on Haverhill road. I proceeded to check on the vehicle, and as I approached, I observed a subject wearing a military style “ghillie suit” emerge from a wooded area adjacent to a residence. Upon inquiry, the male juvenile from Exeter told me that he was playing “The Assassin Game”, and that one of his “targets” lived there. I was familiar with this game from past history, and counseled him on the inherent dangers of entering people’s private property, especially under suspicious circumstances. I cautioned him that many residents have firearms, or dogs, and he was placing himself in peril trespassing to play this game. If residents observe people on their property that they are in fear of, (the game is played with water guns, that could be mistaken for a real firearm, especially in dark conditions) the possibility exists for tragic consequences. Additionally, police responding to a “suspicious person” call in these circumstances do not know what they are actually responding to. This game is being played throughout the SAU 16 towns, and seacoast area. Parents should open a dialogue with their children to discuss the inherent dangers involved in playing this game. Game players could be mistaken for armed individuals, and tragic consequences could result. Residents are cautioned to be aware of this game being played, and to report any suspicious behavior or circumstances to local police. ~Chief Tim Connell
