The following are GFPS’s goals in using social media, to complement but not replace, the District’s traditional outreach efforts:
1. To share good news about GFPS programs, schools, staff, students and events 2. To raise awareness about GFPS events and programs 3. To increase community participation and attendance at GFPS events and programs 4. To provide links to other educationally relevant sources 5. To notify the Great Falls community of in-the-moment happenings
Primary Target Audience: The primary target audience for the GFPS Facebook page is adults (parents, alumni, media, staff and general community members).
Disclaimer and Statements of Expectations: Response Timelines: GFPS staff will make every effort to respond to questions on our Facebook page within two (2) business days. However, due to limited resources and questions that may require research, more time may be needed. Your patience is appreciated.
Private or Time-Sensitive Concerns: Facebook is not the proper medium for addressing concerns. Parents and citizens are encouraged to follow the usual chains of command for these kinds of questions or concerns. That chain of command would be: 1. Teacher 2. Principal 3. Assistant Superintendent or Other Appropriate Supervisor 4. Superintendent 5. Board of Trustees

Fan Comments: GFPS welcomes comments on items posted on the District’s Facebook page. All comments are highly encouraged to be stated respectfully, factually and constructively. Community-contributed content is the opinion of the specific author and does not represent GFPS.
