Essential Safety Products was founded in 1959 as a wholesale distributor of Health, Safety, Environmental and Industrial Hygiene equipment. Our history dates back to before the inception of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in 1971. We have since made every effort to assist our customers through the years of changing administrative enforcement. Our mission has always been to provide our clients with the correct equipment and services to effectively and efficiently meet their ever changing needs. Our staff offers over 125 years of combined experience in occupational safety and safety product applications. We provide both safety equipment and the expertise necessary to properly select and utilize each item we sell. In 2000, we formed a division specifically tailored to addressing the technical needs of the modern safety professional. This division, Essential Safety Services (ESS), provides services such as repairing, calibrating, and servicing of SCBAs, fall protection equipment, and gas detectors. In addition to equipment servicing, ESS created a department focused specifically to meet our customer's safety training, engineering and consultation needs.
Our staff of trainers provides a wide variety of training courses designed to safeguard employees from the hazards they face every day. We offer standard classes like a 10 hour OSHA, HazCom and PPE, to ergonomics classes for office safety to industry specific classes like SafeLand and HAZWOPER. We share a deep commitment to providing workers with the skills and knowledge necessary to safely conduct even the most dangerous occupations. We have the ability to adapt many of the standard courses or create a course to meet your specialized needs.
Being a division of one the Rocky Mountain Regions largest distributors of personal protective equipment on the market. Our diverse customer base also allows us to experience product and application issues first hand. The relationship ESP has with its manufacturers gives us a "sneak-peek" at product development, application, and employee hazard. We incorporate this unique product knowledge into the training classes, thus making our classes more relevant and up to date than other competitors without this access.
Essential Safety Services also provides consultation services. Our training staff has the ability to find answers to some of the most complex questions the safety industry has to offer. We can set facility inspections and advice to make sure that your company is OSHA compliant as well as work with you to engineer your problems out when necessary.
