The business opened by Barb and Bob Fordyce in 1957 as an A&W Rootbeer Stand, had a very limited menu consisting of hot dogs, shredded chicken sandwiches, popcorn, Jone's potato chips, homemade rootbeer, and orange drink.
In 1969 Joann and Bud Bemiller bought the business and ran it until 1984, when it was sold to the current onwers ,their son Steve and his wife Deb. In 1985 the A&W francise was dropped and Ashland-Wooster Drive In was born, with the addition of the drive thru, many new menu items and a new look.
The Ashland-Wooster Drive In is operated by Steve Bemiller and Glen Snyder.
