Horizons Youth Services provides an opportunity for young people to grow and build brighter futures for themselves and their communities by focusing on the development of skills that unleash the potential in them to become productive citizens.
Horizons Youth Services, which began in 1983, has developed and operated many innovative youth programs, including leadership development and leadership training programs. Twice a year, Horizons conducts its SGA Leadership Conferences for student representatives from regional Job Corps centers. Horizons has also been providing Job Corps Center operations for the Department of Labor.
Horizons Youth Services operates the Muhlenberg Career Development Center in Greenville, Kentucky, the Carl D. Perkins Job Corps Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, and the Charleston Job Corps Center in Charleston, West Virginia, and serves as a subcontractor for the Cleveland, Ohio, Job Corps Center and the Turner Job Corps Center in Albany, Georgia. Horizons Youth Services also is contracted to operate the Pennsylvania Outreach and Admissions program for Job Corps.
