Dr. Mauro has cared for patients in North Naples since 1995. As an Independent Doctor of Optometry Dr. Mauro currently sees patients at the Walmart Vision Center on US 41 North. Earlier in his career Dr. Mauro was the founder and CEO of Family Vision and Hearing. A multi- state provider of vision and hearing needs.
Dr. Mauro has been on the Johnson and Johnson national speakers panel for contact lenses. He was also on the staff of the prestigious Rand Eye Insttute at Pompano Beach Florida.
"Dr. Dave"- as known by many of his patients, lives in Naples Florida with his wife Carolyn. In 2008 he launched the "Wall of Honor" located just outside the entrance of the Walmart Vision Center to honor our military veterans as well as active troops. The Wall of Honor continues to grow and is the only continuous display of it's kind in any of the Walmart stores in the nation. He has served on the board of the Collier County Museums, and participates in The Vision Walk of SE Florida.
Dr. Mauro enjoys riding his bike, hiking in the Rocky Mountains, fly fishing, and has a keen interest in WWII aviation. He also enjoys spening time with his family.
