The roots of The Heart Group date back to the late 1960’s and early 1970’s when several cardiologists started practicing in the Tri-State region independently. In 1989, Tri-State Cardiology Consultants and Evansville Cardiology Associates merged their practices to form The Heart Group, PC. We are the largest cardiovascular practice in the Tri-State region, currently employing 15 cardiologists, 3 electrophysiologists, 1 vascular surgeon, 3 cardiovascular surgeons, 4 nurse practitioners and 4 physician assistants.
The Heart Group is the Tri-State’s only practice that has accreditations in all three types of testing: echocardiography, nuclear imaging, and vascular imaging.
* THG is the only practice in the Tri-State that offers accredited nuclear imaging.
** THG is also the only practice in the Tri-State to have accreditations in all four categories of non-invasive vascular examination: peripheral arterial, peripheral venous, extracranial, and visceral vascular exams.
